OESM Web-Server Question...

Postby [OESM]Sephiroth » Mon Jul 08, 2002 12:39 am

DLink, I tried testing my news-posting script and it spewed me an error, but I have no clue as to what the error was. Can you give me a symlink to my site's server log so that I can see just what is wrong? Even better, if the server runs for dhta.oesm.org only, could you make it spew a copy into my home directory? Thank ya'.

Thought I'd take a break form my Y!Engine and do some CGI. The links won't work. It gives me "Permission Denied" every time. Does "root" still own the symlinks or something?

What do your scripts have to do with the logs? Symlinks by nature are wide open, permission wise. The actual logs are owned by the account running the webserver, but should be world readable. I'll check them.

I'm using SecureFX and when I click the links I get "Permission Denied" in the log window, but a message box pops up saying the symlink could not be resolved.

Let's see YOU pull it off. I'll try using IE and see what happens. And get your cat off my bed. Only I and any woman I choose may sleep on it. Your cat's a guy, so he DEFINATELY has to go!
