Bah, IRC == A newborn can hack you. I was an IRCOP for years, I KNOW these things. I'll stick to Trillian with 128bit encryption thanks .

interesting...I got trillian, said... seph....you should try trillian...ain't gotta worry about those shitty AOL banned popping up with ICQ...plus it supports AIM (who uses that anyway?), Yahoo Instant Messanger, IRC, and another one I can't think of at this time...

Seph said "trillian sucks..I'm never gonna use it" Now he thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread...err I mean unreal

I never said Trillian sucked. It's resource management sucks to high-heavens. You can run ICQ on a 486/DX2, but Trillian won't. It sometimes lags when refreshing a window on the P2! It's very secure, but sloppily coded. I only use ICQ, so why should it eat my resources loading plugins and shit for AIM, Yahoo, etc? Hell, why not just make *seph's a fag* load the original Unreal engine as well so you can play both from one place? Oh yeah, you'd need a damn dual P4 to do that.

Hey on that nationwide survey that was done, the average system is between 300 and 500mhz. That isn't exactly P4 speed! Yeah a lot of us gamers may have sweet quad P4 xeons, but the general populas at large obviously can't afford to buy a new system every six months. I know I just bought a new Linux box and it set me back $260! That may not sound like much, but when you're trying to save to finish college, it's a f*cking TON!

I built my 'dream machine' for around 500 bucks.

You can get a 950 duron for 32 bucks.. mobo for that chip runs around 50. 82 dollars :/ Get a geforce2 mx card for like 85 bucks.

Heh and that is the average computer USER not computer gamer. I'd say not anyone in a TOP q3/CS/TFC/RTCW clan uses less than a 500 mhz. Infact most everyone is around at least the 1 ghz range now.

And I don't know ANY gamers who run quad xeons, waste of money for a non-server.
