Valve actually has full time employees working on their own anti-cheat measures. They won't say when it will come out, but word is within the next few patches.

Just useless info, but here are the 5 OESM hosted server's input into the wall O' shame (and I truly hope more decide to help out):

NeoTF @ RackDaddys
75 - 33%

0 (just installed yesterday)

227 cheaters and counting. I thank all the server admins who have decided to get in on this and help clear some of the garbage out of our servers.

So anyone anxious to play in a server with greatly reduced cheating (I'm not naive enough to think we get everyone, it just won't happen) feel free to stop in and play in any of the listed servers. They are OESM2, OESM4, OESM6, OESM18 and OESM19 (go to http://servers.oesm.org and click on Server Viewer, then choose one of them and click the link for current status, including it's IP and port).

I'll go back and read your post after, but for clan matches you can just not log into our stats. Set the logaddress to some bogus IP, or use localhost, which is 127.0.0.1 and presto, no logging. When you're done, just stop and start the server to reread the autoexec.cfg (easier than remembering my stats IP).

The only stats change made lately, besides bug fixes, is you now get dinged for killing yourself. As far as I know, killing a teammate was a bug that had to be squashed. Before, if you killed a teammate, you actually got a skill point which is, unlike what you say about true skill reporting, very unskilled and needed to be fixed. Here's a complete list of changes made in this version from the last (and when I played, I was strictly a defense player and normally found myself in the top 5):


*) Fix: gluongun.gif / tau_cannon.gif were mixed up. (S. Garner)
*) Fix: "gluongun" should be "gluon gun". (S. Garner)
*) Fix: month value for timelocal() should be 0..11 not 1..12, this prevented
hlstats.pl from working correctly in December! (S. Garner)
*) Fix: suicide and teamkill skill penalties were being erroneously changed into
+1 skill bonuses. (S. Garner, with thanks to Surtr )
*) Fix: playerinfo reported Aliases as expiring after DELETE_DAYS. (S. Garner)
*) Fix: duplicate '357' weapon in gamesupport_valve. (S. Garner)
*) New: RconRecord configuration option, set to 0 to disable recording logged
rcon commands to the Events_Admin table (useful for PB servers). (S. Garner)
*) Fix: PlayerAction and PlayerPlayerAction player skill rewards did not work
(only team rewards). (S. Garner)
*) Fix: escape HTML in player names when displaying awards. (S. Garner)
*) Fix: NameTrack mode should work better. (S. Garner)
*) Fix: decrement our count of the number of players on the server when a player
disconnects. Also only increment the count if the player object doesn't exist
already (in case of multiple connections without disconnect). The MinPlayers
configuration setting should work now! (S. Garner)
*) New: Added SkillMaxChange configuration option to fix 'insanely high skill'

*) Fix: duplicate closing table tags in game.inc. (S. Garner)
